- Each volume is edited by PN in collaboration with a collective of authors, ideally including at least one local authority from the country or region covered.
- Authors may be individuals or collectives, including herpetologists, field researchers, conservationists, and experienced herpers.
- Contributions are peer-reviewed internally for taxonomic accuracy, field relevance, and photographic quality.
Tone and Format:
- Scientifically rigorous but field-accessible
- Modular and standardized across volumes
- Aesthetic and practical: designed for both backpack and bookshelf
- Species accounts are concise, image-rich, and formatted for one-page print layout
